Kevin Sorbo’s “Wolf Canyon” receives seven Leo Award nominations!

Kevin and Lorne Cardinal

Exciting news, everybody!

Our good friends at “Wolf Canyon” announced that they received seven (count ’em… seven!) Leo Award nominations, the most in its category of “Best Music, Comedy, or Variety Program or Series.”  The Celebration Awards Ceremony is June 4, and we can’t wait to hear who wins!

The Leo Awards honor the best in British Columbian television and film production. They are given annually each May.

The “Wolf Canyon” nominations are:  Best Program, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Picture Editing, Best Performance: Lorne Cardinal, Best Performance: Jessica Harmon, and Best Performance: Matty Finochio.

Director/Co-Producer Allan Harmon of Really Real Films offered these comments:

Jessica Harmon and Kevin

“To clarify for Kevin’s fans how in the world he could be overlooked by the Leos, the answer is that to qualify for this particular Awards show you must be a resident of British Columbia. Kevin is, of course, a U.S. citizen. Having said that we’re thrilled to have done so well in our category. There’s a great mix of participants in this Awards show that work on all manner of shows that include large U.S. television series and films.

“For those who have seen ‘Wolf Canyon’ you know that it’s a collaborative, ensemble show, more so than anything I’ve ever worked on in the television business over the last 32 years. That’s why I think that everyone involved in the cast (including background players), crew, and network staff are responsible for our receiving so many nominations.

“The next step is to get ‘Wolf Canyon’ picked up to run as a series and be sold around the world. That way all those folks visiting the Facebook page and hitting the fan sites will finally get a chance to see it. Those are the people the show’s been for in the first place. The next six episodes are already written as rough drafts, and the next six after that are already in synopsis form. We’re ready to go from our end. Keep your fingers crossed that we have many more ‘W.C.’s in our future.

Thanks, Al… And congratulations, “Wolf Canyon!” We hope you walk away with all seven Leos!
