Mama-Kii Tea iMamaki leavess made from mamaki, a flowering type of nettle minus the stinging hairs, indigenous to many of the Hawaiian Islands. It’s grown at Wood Valley Plantation, the only mamaki plantation certified by the State of Hawaii, located on the Mauna Loa Volcano’s southeastern side. It’s 100% natural and organic; caffeine-, cholesterol- and gluten-free; and contains three major antioxidants: catechins, chlorogenic acid and rutin, as well as beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus.

Hawaiian folklore lists many benefits of mamaki from lowering blood pressure and cholesterol to easing liver, bladder and intestinal troubles. Tradition also maintains that it was used to help control diabetes and treat general malaise. These claims, however, are not affiliated with Mama-Kii Tea nor have been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Also, don’t substitute the tea for prescribed or any other medication.
