Kevin Sorbo Birthday Project donations: We need so much more!

The Official European Kevin Sorbo Fan Club (OEKSFC) is once again requesting contributions for their Annual Birthday Project in honor of Actor/Director/Producer/Author Kevin Sorbo’s birthday this coming September 24. It is seeking monetary donations to benefit Sorbo’s nonprofit foundation, A World Fit For Kids! (WFIT), based in Los Angeles, California.

Sorbo is the past Board Chair and current spokesperson for WFIT, and continuously promotes its excellent, award-winning afterschool program that combats childhood obesity, provides positive role models, and advocates teen mentoring. He travels to Washington, D.C., each year with a message to Congress that today’s kids require healthier diets, more activity, stronger leadership, greater educational challenges and confidence building that many public schools don’t and/or can’t provide.

Sorbo’s involvement with WFIT began in 1997 when the 501(c)(3) organization’s Executive Director, Normandie Nigh, approached him with the prospect of aiding the outreach and community mission it initiated in 1993. At that time, Sorbo starred in one of the most popular syndicated television programs worldwide, “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” and sought a charity that he could help and in which he wholeheartedly believed. The pair immediately meshed, and their partnership subsequently impacted the lives of over 200,000 youths.

We, Kevin’s fans, and the OEKSFC want to help. To date we have $635.86 in donations.

But, we need so much more!
